Amazing Creative Sunlight

Look at the impact of light: three colors for the same rock, and a fabulous modern art painting. Could be part of the London Gallery (I'm not the artist, Nature is)...

I realy thank everyone for all comments putting on my blog recently. It's difficult to find time to go on each blog but i'm going to try today...

@Jrask: I've just used my camera( bridgeKonica-minolta A2 at this moment). I had no tripod, i just have tried to stabilize myself leaning against the face of the canyon. After i've just a little pushed contrast and added sharpness.

La lumiere rasante met bien en valeur les textures de la roche. Si je comprends bien ton commentaire la roche est de meme couleur et c'est juste la lumiere qui donne ces couleurs si differentes: jaune-orange pour la partie la plus haute et la plus eclairee, rose pour la partie intermediaire et violet pour la partie basse recevant moins de lumiere. Corrige moi si je me trompe car c'est assez etonnant...

@akarui: OUI c'est exactement cela. La roche est appelée sandstone, c'est du grès rouge. Il faut être dans le canyon entre 11h et 14h environ, afin que les rayons du soleil, à ce moment au zénith, pénètrent dedans, car à la surface on distingue juste une faille très peu large. Le jeu de la lumière opère alors et modèle les couleurs en fonction de la dose reçue. C'est la magie de la nature...

Nature did it, of course. But to get the most favourable point of view is up to the photographer. There are the colours but also the emphasis on the the texture of the rocks, particularly the one on the foreground.
