About Evelyne Dubos

Je fais de la photo en amateur depuis… longtemps. Mon thème de prédilection est le voyage dans lequel je trouve toute mon inspiration et mon envie. La photo est pour moi un bon moyen d’aller au contact des populations et de leur culture. Depuis quelque temps, je propose mes services à une association qui intervient au Niger avec des actions de solidarité afin d’aider à la scolarisation des enfants. Dans un monde où l’image à priorité sur les mots, je m’engage avec mes photos, à rapporter au mieux les réalités de la situation, dans les écoles, mais aussi dans les villages et les jardins.
J’ai pu faire une exposition en novembre 2007, au Festival du Scoop d’Angers.
Je pose ici avec ma fille qui m'accompagne souvent dans mes voyages.

I’ve been living as an amateur photographer since… so long. Travelling has always been a strong inspiration to me, which boosts my desire and my creativity. I’ve always considered photography was the best way to meet people and understand their own culture. I’ve been collaborating with a humanitarian association since 2005, which sets up solidarity actions in Niger (Africa) and, notably, provides dozens of children with schooling. In a world where images had replaced words, my shots are a real commitment: my artistic calling is to show reality just as it is, in schools, villages and small farms (named « gardens »).
The Niger pictures were displayed in November 2007 during the renowned French Scoop & Journalism Festival in Angers.
